About me

Hi, I'm Claire!

for the story ↓

I’m a film and marketing student at Emory University, drawn to filmmaking, creative strategy, and visual storytelling.

I’m always trying something new, whether that’s directing a short film, assisting on a commercial production, creating educational social media content, or writing about media, but I'm always curious about what captures the attention of the younger tech-savvy generations to gauge the future of entertainment media. I'm especially interested in production, entertainment marketing, and the collaborative process that transforms an idea into something audiences can experience.

This website is a collection of the projects that have shaped me as a filmmaker and storyteller so far. Thanks for stopping by!

Internship

Kids Video Connection

This summer, I was a Social Media Intern for the nonprofit organization Kids Video Connection, which promotes media literacy through video production for children. Each week, I created a "Social Emotional Learning Wednesday" video, where I promoted skills like emotional regulation, self-awareness, and responsible decision-making through creative expression.

I was drawn to KVC because it was an opportunity to combine both my passion for children's education, which I've volunteered for in the past, with video production and creative marketing. I believe media literacy is especially important for young people growing up surrounded by digital content and I wanted to contribute to that mission. Through this experience, I strengthened my skills in short-form content creation and learned how to communicate meaningful ideas in a way that feels accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate.

Production Assistant Experience

Very Online
Agency

Last summer I got to contribute to commercial content shoots for well-known brands and creators by working as a Production Assistant for Very Online Agency, a Brooklyn-based short form production company. I helped keep the set running smoothly by handling day-to-day tasks, supporting the crew, and jumping in wherever needed. It was a fun and valuable introduction into the world of commercial filmmaking.

One project I worked on was a social media content series featuring CAVA co-founder Ted Xenohristos, and another was a campaign with NFL player Pat Surtain II for Campus.edu. These productions gave me insight into the collaboration, planning, and attention to detail required to bring commercial campaigns to life, while strengthening my understanding of being on a professional set.

At Emory

Emory Vision
eTV

eTV is Emory University's student-run film production organization, where I've gotten to grow both as a filmmaker and a leader. During my sophomore year, I assisted on multiple student short film productions, created promotional content for our Instagram page, and helped organize our annual student film festival and other film-related community events.

This year, I'm serving as Production Chair, overseeing club productions and supporting student filmmakers throughout the production process. I'm also leading the planning of our annual film festival, coordinating logistics to showcase the creative work of our members. Through eTV, I've gained valuable experience in production management, event planning, and collaborating with fellow filmmakers to bring projects from concept to screen.

Selected Writing

A selection of essays from my film courses exploring a range of ideas, all connected by an interest in how visual style creates meaning—and how audiences interpret it, both consciously and unconsciously.
